But today is the day.
I think I'm still just mega, but I also don't go in the obvious spam post threads, and typically stay offline in the evenings and weekends.
I couldn't love GRM the magazine or the website more, and believe me, I don't like to be the P.C police or anything or the guy who has a problem with everything thing, but I do have a problem with this...
I find it a bit offensive that you use terms like dork, megadork, uberdork, etc. for your little descriptions or whatever in the postings. I myself am not a dork, nor am I a dork teacher or counselor, but I feel sensitivity for dorks as I am a student taking dork classes, and my Girlfriend is pursuing her masters in the field.
These terms although I'm pretty sure are not even real words, are obviously meant to resemble the words used to describe people with cognative-expressive impairments, and it appears that they are used on these boards in a joking sense which, as I view it, makes light of people who are afflicted with thought disabilities.
In reply to EvanB :
I love the long running quote-but I think we are being labeled as how glorious a whale penis we are, not someone has cognitive-expressive impairments.
In reply to EvanB :
I am very accepting and believe me Mrs. NYN would let me know if she thought we were marginalizing any group of people.

INFORMAL•NORTH AMERICAN
a contemptible, socially inept person
that said I don't love the term but I like the status hierarchy, not sure if I have a better word to use though.
Lunchbox Laboratory in Seattle has delicious dork (duck + pork) burgers. So every time I come to the forum I get hungry.
Thanks for making me crave burgers, GRM.
In reply to 11GTCS :
There's three kinds of people in the world, Chuck. Dorks, Bob Costas, and shiny happy people....
In reply to Pete. (l33t FS) :
You imply there are also rankings in each category.
What do you have against a megabobcostas or a megashinyhappyperson?
I think that if someone ever reaches 80,000 posts, they should be known as an OctoBobCostas.
*Consecutive Hotlinks And Such Should Be Subtracted From Your Post Count
In reply to Woody (Forum Supportum) :
I'm pretty sure a couple people have actually reached that, though I can't prove it.
There was a big forum reboot in 2008 which lost a lot of people's post counts. I had 4 years of history at that point, and honestly posted way too much. IIRC, I had nearly 30,000 posts then, and was not in the top 10. So, anyone who had more counts than me and has continued posting could have hit that number.
Does that make me an InvisiHexaBobCostas?
