Stay classy, Seattle. Sheesh!

Agree. Beast mode.. Beast quake grab crotch and done.

some dumbass who should be out of a job right now
Damn. Seemed like a no brainer to hand the ball to Marshawn. If it didn't work, call a timeout and do it again. Oh well. I think the Pats were better at taking advantage of the refs letting them play a bit and not calling a lot of penalties. There were several no calls and I think overall that is good since I want to see a game decided by the players, but a couple of them were a bit of a head scratcher to result in no calls. That's neither here nor there since those plays did not affect the outcome.
The mess at the end was pretty crappy. Stay classy Seattle indeed.
The only part of the halftime show I liked is when she rode "The More You Know" star. That was really funny. I don't enjoy her singing/songs. I was about 15 minutes behind real time (Tivo) and I was banned from fast forwarding through that nonsense. I think halftime was better than Black Eyed Peas, but not as good as Bruno Mars last year.

Exactly zero...
Actually, I thought the teams matched up well and did a great job finding and exploiting weakness. Both teams isolated taller wide receivers against Smurf corners. When it came to crunch time, one coach made one mistake and the other didn't make any. If you have Marshawn Lynch on the five yard line, hand him the ball and block for him. The man knows where the end zone is. The Patriots spent a lot of time looking at film too. They read that slant perfectly.
New England lost two Super Bowls with my beloved New York Football Giants because someone made a circus grab. This time, the circus catch was negated by a bad play selection.
Just goes to show you: In the rarefied air, good decision-making is key.

Probably right.....but oh well, glad to see the seahawks lose. They didn't deserve to be there in the first place this season.

FTFY
This is what i was talking about with that ref setting a pick. Watch the ref in the endzone.

How did nobody throw a E36 M3 fit over that?

I thought hockey went on strike and never came back? Isn't just an olympic sport?

It certainly wasn't that, was it?

My wife was saying all game that the official was too fat to be out there and wondering how he could keep up with the game with his big belly. Then he goes and uses his belly to pick off a New England defender. That was funny. Nobody got too upset when tripped up Patriots defender as he fell to the ground took an obvious swipe at the Seattle receiver's feet and tripped him. Don't remember which two players that was, but it was near the end in the 4th quarter.
I think Seattle's play calling handed the game to the Pats, but I give the Pats credit for being where they were in order to be the beneficiary of the gift.

yeah … I'm happy with the outcome, but if I were doing the play calling, I'm pretty sure it would have been Marshawn Lynch 3 straight times … with the superior offensive line and that running back, if they couldn't score, they wouldn't deserve the trophy
of course if somehow NE had managed to stop them those 3 plays, everyone would still be crucifying the coach …
the "if I were doing the play calling" is a laugh … 20/20 hindsight is great … and I'm pretty sure no one is going to offer me several million dollars a yr to take over that job

Wow, harsh. These are the defending champs (remember last years 43-8 blowout of the Broncos?), and his decisions got him into the position of winning the Superbowl. One mistaken call shouldn't mean his firing, even if it did cost them a big win.

Hahaha i chuckled at that one, too. "I tackl-i mean i tripped!"

and with the way the Sea Hawks defensive secondary plays you'd think they would have been the ones to benefit from the refs not calling penalties
though the expression "letting the game be decided by the players" really pisses me off ( this isn't aimed at you … you're just parroting what the dumb ass announcers are always saying)
the players know the rules … they always push the boundaries of the rules, it's up to the refs to hold them in check or else there is anarchy … anything that's a foul at the start of a game is still a foul at the end …. which is when most of the talking heads usually spout this drivel
the NFL has made the decision that spectators want more scoring so they've made it semi impossible to the secondary to defend … last night it was more nearly like it was a few yrs ago

I hit the mute button as soon as the first half whistle blew … didn't lift my eyes from the book I'm reading until the game resumed

the interview with (Brady I think) pointed out that as soon as Butler saw the pick happening he totally sold out for the slant .. turns out he was correct
