Figured out why people collect multiple of the same car: To mess with their coworkers. Imagine if I had a truckload of Kia Rios.
First day: "Not bad, Thomas"
Second day: "I thought it was red?" No, it's black.
Third day: "Thomas, What the hell?" I swear it's silver, check the papers.
Fourth day: "Why the berkeley is it a hatchback now?"
Fifth day (pulls up in a chameleon plasti-dipped SX sedan): "You've got to be E36 M3ing me."
I think the fumes are getting to you. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/wink-18.png)
Beverage in keyboard funny. I am still chuckling as I type this.

They got to me a long time ago. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/crazy-18.png)
I drive by a guys house that has about 6 of the same generation mustangs, three of them being those ones that had a greenish purple color changing paint. It is odd. I figure he just must really like that generation mustang and if he sees one for sale, buys it
people collect stuff that they like... Rick Hendrick- the NASCAR owner guy- has a 67 Corvette for every color that they offered that year.. or are they 66 Vettes? i forget, but he has a complete color swatch book of that model year of Corvettes sitting in a museum that isn't even open to the public.
i have a complete set of the Minions that they were giving away with Happy Meals last summer... not because i care about or actually like those stupid little yellow things or even Happy Meals, but because the caveman one says "what the berkeley?" every third time you bump it and i got the other 4 before i got that one...

My brother-in-law had just started at a new place of work and was in the break room. Someone was complaining about all the Bosnians (Seriously, there is a metric berkton of Bosnians in the area) and my BIL spoke up and said "Hey, watch it, my wife is Bosnian." The co-workers apologized and changed the subject.
About a week later someone else happened to make a remark about Jewish people and my BIL once again piped up with "Hey, watch it, my wife is Jewish." A Jewish Bosnians quite possible and I'm sure fairly common, so they once again apologized.
About a month later and someone drops the N-word. Once again, he says "Hey watch, it my wife is black." This time someone thinks back on the other two times and calls him out. "So your wife is a Jewish black Bosnian?" At which point that jig was up.
For the record, my sister is a white Irish Catholic.
I think it would be fun to own a bunch of Miatas of a certain year, one of each color offered that year, and modify each one to have a different "personality."
Ive got two of the same cars. No one mistakes them cause ones really low, really loud and a wagon, the other is stock height and appearance, mostly quiet but both are turbo. Oh and two different colors.
Is kinda funny when i say "oh ill need to bring the volvo to be able to carry xxx" and the reaponse is usually...your in a volvo though right? Yeah but..the other one..

Come to think of it, I have both red and blue 1990 Miatas and a 1994 that's painted 1990 white as a base color. Very different personalities, yes
Naturally aspirated 1.6, swapped 1.8 with a turbo and the beastly V8 track car.
Nice to have a bunch of spares, something breaks and you go "oh nice, I've got one of those!".

Mustang guys are like that some times.
Those mystic (green purple color change paint) Cobras are not a bad investment; pretty limited run and are currently priced pretty cheap.
In the event that 1996 mustangs are ever worth anything, those will bring a premium
