Got this in my latest Amazon vehicle parts purchase.
They had a store in Chicago - if you went in the guy looked it up in his catalog and wrote up your order but his catalog (Warshawsky or JC Whitney) had higher prices than the catalog they mailed you so always bring your catalog!

Heck yes! "Murilee Martin" made a clone when he couldn't get one. Sadly the original article on Jalopnik has all the photos missing:

But I did find one pic online:
I do see Phil (Murilee Martin) sometimes at Lemons races. I wonder if he still has Wanky.
I don't think the name ever went away altogether, someone bought the rights to it and has been selling online stuff for years.

I'm tempted to offer 3d printed replicas of those. Any interest?

As soon as I saw JC Whitney, Murilee's article on Wanky was literally the first thing that popped into my head lol. I remember reading that article when he was still writing for them.
One of the old school greats on J-nik!
Ooooh I remember the catalogs in the 80s, passed the time on the ship in the Navy. I was just thinking about JCW the other day and wondering if it still existed. Today's going to be slow, something to explore.
EDIT quick look and seems like a generic car parts site.

Murilee is writing for The Truth About Cars, now, in case anyone is interested.
