I berkeleying hate this E36 M3hole town, but I know there are some folks on here from the Carolinas and a few that have been in the Corps. I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of some car related things to do down here.

Thanks in advance for anything you suggest that might help me hold on to what's left of my sanity.

Check out the Tarheel Sports Car Club. Not sure how much they do in Onslow County but it seems they did have a TSD rally down that way a couple of years ago.

Im coast guard in Atlantic beach, I avoid Jacksonville like the plague... We have a pretty good scca auto cross scene out here. Once a month events spring through fall and We do a couple a year at cherry point on the taxiway, it's one of the fastest auto crosses I've ever done. Other than that there a lot of ricer meet ups, cars and coffee in Wilmington. A waaaaayyy better cars and coffee in Raleigh. I've got orders to leave this summer and can't wait, but if you want to meet up some time let me know.

Ugh Jacksonville. I went to my MOS school at Cherry Point in good 'ol Havelock. Nothing to do as I remember car related there but I was a pre-Fast and Furious ricer back then. One thing I do remember car related was a bunch of guys in school getting cars at buy here/pay here lots outside the front gate.

Also remember a dude got E36 M3 faced at Atlantic beach and walked all the way back overnight to Cherry Point for an 8 o'clock muster. He said it took him about 7 hours. Lol

Lots of adult entertainment there...

I pass through on my way to Atlantic Beach and it seems to have a big "Donk" community. Im sure there is a big car scene. They go hand-in-hand with bases.

There's always Coastal Plains Raceway. It's drag racing and oval racing but it's nearby.

You'll need to log in to post.
