It's 100' up my personal driveway. But could be?
In reply to SV reX :
I didn't want to re do the whole meter base, with new meter, 6x6 posts, unistrut, disconnect then new panel for the cabin etc. The rv pedestal was the easy button.... A couple breakers, a couple circuits, done.
Underground power and it berkeleying goes out. Comes back on and fries the main gfci..... At least I had a spare in my box of electrical E36 M3.
18" of fluff with 3/4" of ice over it..... Walk with caution.... Hurts your shin like a MFer when you fall thru.
Trying to unfreeze the pooper.....
Added door to bathroom finally.
And was backing my trailer up the driveway..... Straightening out and pulled into the snow Bank a bit.... Found a stick. Couldn't see it under the snow.
Offending stick.
Broken grill...
No obvious issues, until we went up the pass two days later. Stick turned 45 degrees and poked the top edge of the rad above the leading T to Toyota....
Couldn't even get home since my jig of water was at the cabin.... Had a neighbor tow me back...
Didn't take any pics till after, but a snowmobile ride and neighbors help provided jb plastic weld.... Couldn't find the metal stuff. Some. Heet and a lighter to clean the hole, smooth jb putty in and pray.
Spent one more night to let it cure, dumped random antifreeze in and prayed.
Made it 100 ish miles home with only needing 3/4 gallon water across a few top offs. Stopped every 20-30 min to check. Just left the cap loose and I think a but was coming out of there.
Not pretty, but got me home.
Ohhhh Shiney
Giant berkeley You to the toilet people. Instructions say 3 3/4" min ID for the vent pipe. Specs 696 schedule 80 cpvc for the heat tolerance.
I bought a 20' stick of 4" for 2'...... It doesn't berkeleying fit. And not cheap. Silicone tape, done. It's good for 500 degrees.
Hopefully it creamates turds.
Forgot to add these.
That my friends is turd smoke.
The Turdburner 3000. Love it. Every time it burns a poop, does a crowd gather to hear the new heir to the Throne?
In reply to AngryCorvair (Forum Supporter) :
What you smell is mostly the the wax paper liner, it has a distinct waxy smell. Every once in awhile you a a "turd burning whiff" but its not bad really. The instructions do want a stack thru the roof, but with the snow I did not want that. But it may mitigate the smell a bit. But inside you don't smell it, outside you may, but usually its not bad like you think it would be. Its a giant ceramic bowl that gets super hot basically, with a stainless "liner bowl" you empty. Its just ash when its time to empty.
Mt only complaint is the oilter costs what a decent used Civic does. But it also makes my life better and easier, so win still.

Its really an upgrade from the composting one. That was a nightmare....
What happened with the composter was the pee froze in the dump tube, and then backed up into the waste bin. Which then resulted in a frozen block of peat moss, poo and pee. Just lovely. thats what the heater pads were "trying" to thaw. it kinda worked..... I got it empty, but it was a NIGHTMARE. I wont go into details as the EPA may read this.
But I have since redone the pee tube, and that toilet is pee only now. No sense in using propane to burn off the pee.....
I really think that photo and post should qualify for "say what?" In the GRM magazine. "That my friends is turd smoke." LOL :0D So tempted to screen shot it and post it in the Meme thread!
Well now I need a chipper and a chainsaw mill.....
I'm leaning towards the vermeer 620, if I can get it cheap enough.... (purchased a Bandit 95)
It's warm today.
Oh and zip lines. If anyone is an expert there chime in. (turns out I need a bucket truck to reach where I want to go....)
Very cool place, it has been fun to follow along. If you want a zip line, I got one from these guys and the kids (and adults) have a blast with it. Lots of ideas and choices.
In reply to imgon :
Thank you!
I bought all the zip line parts and way oversized them.... But I cannot reach where I want it it turns out. I can probably get to one side with a tall ladder off the front porch, but that makes it hard to build the other side of the landing.
Not bad. Still one bar left on the battery. I need a chipper bad now. (post script:its a handy saw, I ahve had it for a long time, it lives in my truck or the RV. Quiet and works decent, but going back to gas is way faster)
661 magnum acquired.
Ladder for mill rails. Amazon special mill frame
First cut
Another 16' done. It's pouring now. I have a ton of skis left.
Well it turns out finding a 48" bar for a 661 is a bitch. The bigger bore saws use a different mounting pattern.... And stihl says the 661 maxes out at 36.
But it's snowing. And I built a bench.
Really starting to melt out now. Road in is a disaster
Stove has always been super sooty. Wife finally complained enough about it. A lot of googling later and I finally found a manual for it. PO never converted it to LP... Luckily it's all adjustable on the stove! No more orange flame and soot!
Took the dogs off and put the 42" bar on. Hopefully that gets me close
Still working on the chipper.... May do the bandit 95,but it's big and expensive.... But I think maybe better resale than a 6"
In reply to pheller :
It's one I built. Probably going up for sale soon....
-22 here tonight. It's chilly.
Two more boards cut. They are big and heavy AF. New bar works fine. Chain sucks. It's already dull, and super loose. It was almost out of tension adjustment when it was new. Bar seems like the oiler hole is way too small for the length. It's less than 1/8 and just one?
Big boy saw kicks ass.
Couple hours of driving later. Auto feed is awesome. I threw a 7-8" log in, 5' long, just chewed it's way thru it.
Snowed again. Winter does not want to give up. Melted off the next day tho.
Chipper is awesome
Did some new plumbing, one for the pisser, one for the sink. 2" ABS, hopefully that wont freeze.
Got my ass stuck in the yard again....
Got a big ass hole in the beaver dam. Drain 12-16" off easy.
Its melt off. And really wet....
Chipped everything I could get out of the pile near the trees and said fawk it.
Wind was coming the next morning so I put it out. Took way more water than I ever would have expected. 3500-3750 gallons.... Really reminds me that fire fighting is almost impossible......
The Flir was really cool to check over hot spots.
Water down, stirred, raked a over. Not bad.
Some PT 2x4 made a ladder for the swimming hole. Its cold AF!!!
Then worked on water, I used a husky can to hold more, its ~34 gallons. Added a hot water heater for the shower. That is a win, 100%. Used pex for the water lines. Ran a new line up to the bathroom sink also. So it sucks off the big bucket, if you want hot, you can dump some in the 5 gal bucket.
You'll need to log in to post.
