Mechanical pron! It doesn't seem that bad to take out the drivetrain if you have a lift.

I just loved how he called this, "the scariest thing we've ever done in the Garage." Granted, pulling the engine out of your million $+ supercar is no small task. I'm sure his mechanics were in contact with the techs at McLaren before diving in.

I have always liked Jay but lately I feel he needs to retire and let Jimmy Fallon entertain me at 10:35pm every night.

But as a car guy he rocks and he really has all the details down when he looks at this Datsun 510. During the drive he really explains why the 510 was such a great car.

If only Mr. Leno could move to the 10:35 spot at one of the somewhat automotive themed channels and do a half hour automotive show every night instead. I can't imagine that wouldn't be a win-win for everyone, everywhere.

Yup, not a huge fan of his show. I would love to see him combine his passion with his influence / power to a car show.

My only concern is that there is rather a large glut of car shows on currently (every one seemed to figure out Top Gear was a successful show at the same time)

i think he was on the short list of potential hosts for TGUSA, but it didn't work out for whatever reason.. imagine if he and Adam Carolla (one of the other potential hosts) got to be the "car guy" hosts...

they did try to do a craptastic version of the TG road course on the show he was doing when Conan had the Tonight show, but my Dog was it ever dumb...
