Can Rutledge put on an English accent?
Where do I send my resume to be on the new Netflix Show with Clarkson? A-hole or not, he gets to drive the top cars on the planet!
Bullies and toddlers need rules and enforcement of said rules.
He was entertaining but needs clear punishment.

Please, none of the TGUSA guys. They all stink. Rutledge less-so, but i'd rather see Mr. Bean, the character, that Rutledge
I just hope whatever they end up doing ends up available on American TV.
Should be an interesting next year.
It's pretty astonishing that the BBC would so jeopardize such a massive cash cow. Sure, we'll all watch the replacement with whatever cast it is, but it won't match this current lineup.

So the BBC is gambling that Doctor berkeleying Who can make up for the metric E36 M3-ton of money they're going to lose?
Good luck?
Curious who will pick him up now, you know someone will.

The way I see it they'll do anything to steer attention away from that whole pedophile thing, apparently up to and including making a big deal about firing some public figure of theirs who isn't.
In reply to Kenny_McCormic:
Whatever pedophile thing do you mean old chap? No clue what you're talking about.
If Jeremy were allowed to stay, BBC would condone punching out someone for the sake of ratings; he couldn't be allowed to stay.
I used to work in a 24 X 24 QC space inside a one square mile building, I could only get one radio station, no outside computer. I can only take so much of Rush Limbaugh, but only so much of solitude also. I remember thinking "Man, if Clinton leaves office, this guy is screwed! What's he going to talk about".
Rush is still around. I believe Jeremy will be fine. If he invested wisely he may never even have to work again.

Perhaps they should sue Clarkson for being such a moron and assulting someone.
It's not as if they had much of a choice.
You need to think a bit outside of the box. And who do we all know and love who sleeps in a box, travels in a box and get's way outside the box when he goes to work?
I don't know where he came from....but we call him THE STIG!
The only way to save the show for the BBC is if they let the STIG take over Clarkson's spot. Going this way would add continuity to the show and allow the speaking cast an opportunity to grow into new roles.

Surely you are joking or have never worked in management or for a large company?
The bbc already has a huge liability risk to the punchee. The bbc, like very major company I the world, probably had a zero tolerance for workplace violence policy. If they didn't fire him, the punchee would one half that company with a brain dead lawyer in 3.2 seconds. It's that simple.

It really is. Especially considering he was already on double secret probation. I'm sure the last thing the BBC wanted to do was fire their cash cow, but they really had no choice in this situation.
It may be true, but the latest reports are that BBC hasn't announced anything, and Clarkson says he hasn't been told anything yet either.

He was making 7 digits in pounds per year - unless he's MC Hammer, his great-grandchildren will never have to work.

I want Mr. Regular to be the star in the reasonably priced car, and for him to review the reasonably priced car during his lap.

Not only that, his parents are/were rich. They invented the stuffed Paddington bear.
