Watching the news about all this, I've noticed a couple things: - Jeremy apparently gets around on a bicycle fairly often, even though he often made fun of them on the show. - He also apparently is a big soccer / football fan, another thing he's made fun of.

Do you think TG needs to generate that kind of stuff to drum up an audience?

Well they've had to cancel or postpone live shows, put off the big P1/918/LaFerrari showdown, stopped broadcasting new episodes...this is costing them tons. And Jeremy's rant at the charity auction was pretty damaging.

Unless it was all planned that way.

Like 914Driver said, I don't think the most popular TV show (in the wuuurld) is this desperate for publicity. There are costs associated with these things, could any gains they make cover them? I'm sure there were agreed penalties involved with those live shows at the very least. They transport the cars and equipment well in advance, so they'll have to be stored or shipped back.

This saddens me... Toyota backing a bully.... seems appropriate for one of their non home based divisions.

Other news is Mr Clarkson is being investigated by the police to see if they will be filing assault charges...

As to the rest of you who supported* this animal... I hope your kids, and grandkids get bullied and abused.... after all your support for this animal is nothing less than my support of your kids getting bullied.

yeah... I know.... extreme again.... but this world doesn't need more division, it needs less. There are already too many stupid, angry, vindictive people out there... we certainly don't need to reward one...

I would have no problem with this. Would need to add subtitles to understand what the berkeley he is saying though, but he is a badass. Of course being an Isle of Man TT veteran they would need to modify all the car seats to accommodate his gentleman parts.

no E36 M3, you're like the al quaeda of whatever it is that you're representing. and i think that he was in the wrong and they had plenty of reason to not renew.

In debating, I believe this is called a red herring fallacy. Certainly, what he did was wrong and he deserved to be punished for it, but one adult man punching another in an argument is not the same as child abuse.

You're attempting to apply logic to a matter of hope. The only result of that is the crushing of hope. Don't crush the hope.

In reply to Yes, what he did was wrong. That doesn't mean some of us won't miss him and top gear. Don't confuse that with supporting him. And talk abou bullies, you might want to read your post as if someone else had wrote it.

Yeah really. One has nothing to do with the other. What Clarkson did was not right by any means, but to wish harm on peoples families for liking a TV personality is pretty harsh.
