I really don't see the point of that show. He doesn't even look like he's having fun most of the time.
So. Bad.
That car in the figure 8 racing was excellent though. If I had that thing I'd drive it everywhere, every day.
The actual stunt itself is cool. The lame ass 45 min. of "drama" that lead up to it, however, are not.
I just love the computer generated "worst case scenario" , the whole commentator yelling at me thing is annoying as hell
He's a talented fabricator, helluva welder, got a super hot movie star wife- why in the world does he need to humiliate himself with this dreck?
I'm guessing that he's willing to humiliate himself so that he can be paid to do things like, hmmm, race the Baja 500, The Laughlin Hare Scramble, etc. I'm guessing that for normal people to get entered into these events, you would have to enter a number of lesser events, placing above a certain position in X events.
I think Jesse and the producer got stuck. The producer thought-hey we could hire this cool outlaw biker dude and have him do daring stuff. In between he could wow us with his cool biker lingo and badass attitude.
Jesse thought-hey heres a cool gig where I can do cool stuff on someone elses dime and get paid lots to do it.
Problem is Jesse is about as hyper as a tree sloth, and has a hard time pretending dumb E36 M3 is relevant. Drifting a car is going to make you better at sidecar racing?
They tried to save it and we got stuck with yelling announcer man.

If you check the credits, the show is produced by "Pay Up Sucker" productions. I think Jessie IS the producer.
I don't watch TV at all, but here's an interesting vid that might redeem him somewhat:

Well, I did catch the show tonight. 199 at El Mirage in a streamliner with a 572 twin turbo. I would imagine one of our Challengers would do that on 1/10 the money. Meh.
Jesse James realized how much money he can make from doing reality TV shows. Apparently riding choppers does not correlate with fighting The Man anymore.

Were they running Hydrogen? I believe that was the main point of his record attempt.
The Streamliner was powered by Nitrogen, which in my mind makes it an important run, maybe not earth shattering but a good solid effort.
I lol'd through his "Baja" attempt.
"Let's drop a Ford Ranger from 30ft to test shocks... Okay lets drop another one to test these super ultra bettar shocks"
Jesse ran off the road while in 3rd place.

If it's an internal combustion engine powered by nitrogen then it most certainly IS earth-shattering news.
Shawn
Twin turbo 572 engine powered by nitrogen.
