This freakin' SUCKS. I hope it's not inappropriate to say she was the hottest auto/off road/motorcycle gear head out there and did seem like the kind of person you could talk to about anything that involves engines, wheels, wings, slicks, knobbies, skis........for days

Some solace can be taken in she went out doing what she loved to do. RIP Jessi. She will be missed by many.

That sucks, never met her but she seemed awesome.
Oof. That's really sad news.
Rest in peace, Jessi.
RIP Jessi.
She was really cool to watch and it sounds like she was as good as they come.
She left on her own terms.
Badass to the end.
Badass forever.
Well that just sux. As someone said, she went out doing what she liked.
I only knew about Jessi Combs on Instagram. Her and her Boyfriend bought an old RV a while back and they were chronicling their road trip. The Radiator blew out and she fixed it on the side of the road. She then said "Do what you got to do to fix problems". Became a fan after that.

At 3:50 in the Hoonigan video - Same car almost took her out back then. Her luck run out this time?

When you're trying to go 400mph things happen.
RIP Jessi. She has inspired many young women to get involved with motorsport

I sure hope so .... we need them !!
I'm shocked and slightly disappointed that a good number had not heard of her.
RIP Jessi, a true inspiration.

What a unique and amazing chick. The world is less special without her in it. What a life though.
Familiar with her tv show work but didn’t know about her in LSR. Such a talented person. RIP.
In reply to Carbon :
or the world is more special that she was ever here
This was a real shock to hear. She was young.

As sad as it was that Jessi died, she did it doing something she loved and she has now been posthumously awarded the world record.
Jessie Combs awarded women's land speed record
Saw that yesterday and was glad the record will be in her name. Still a shame it had to be posthumous.
