Need another trucklet thing. Going to sell my wrangler, as much ad I hate to. I would rather not owe anymore money, just going to buy something with cash. So what's the recommendations? How is a tracker/sidekick to live with? Wanna stay under 2k bucks, and want a manual. A ranger or s truck would be ok. What do you guys think?
oh, and I want ok mileage. This 18 mpg crap is the only thing I hated about the dangler.

Are you looking at 2 or 4 wheel drive?
Looking at fueleconomy.gov it looks like an older 4cly 4X4 (tracker or truck) will get you low 20's mixed mid 20's highway. That looks to be the limit with 4X4.
A 4cyl/5spd/2wd with a tonoe or air gate will get you hitting 30 highway.
Aside from the milage issue, just look around and see what fits. I'd gladly DD a tracker, if I had the chance.

That's what I'm finding. How are they for durability?

18-19 is about what my 96 nissan 4x4 4cyl reg cab with cap got around town, never drove it far enough to see what highway mileage it would get.

What about this little guy? Anyone know what springs hes talking about?
Joey
The springs behind the hubs, from what I can remember, force the engagement to happen.
It's a Suzuki Sidekick.... Personally, I am not a fan, but others are.

I don't know how you could go from a wrangler to a tracker. It's like going from a miata to a solara.

I hear ya and totally agree. But I can sell the dangler for more than I owe, and i need to reduce debt. Plus, alot if folks seem to be getting mid twenties out of the trackers, and that's 8 to 10 better than my wrangler. I love my jeep, and hate to sell it, but sometimes you have to make sacrifices. Plus, it would be nice to have something without all the aftermarket support. Two miatas and a wrangler got expensive!

Trackers are tough. I have seen alot of them turned into mudders in the Flint area.
