The problem with that Caddy is with engines they put in them, fuel mileage isn't much better than the rig in the first post. Far worse when you consider the size/weight difference...

What was the alternative?

Caddy 472 / 500 Olds 455 / 403

VS.....

You sure didn't want the GM diesel that was available.

Agreed. But now a 4BT with the Chevy bellhousing plate then adapt that to the BOP pattern........ Got plenty of room under there for it.

Or just MegaSquirt the Caddy.......
