I asked my brother the same thing. His response was that it was there for all the Honda riders to read while they were droning around the track so they'd have something interesting to do.

they clean it up on occasion.. but you will find a lot of clubs put their name on the track. I know the guys from Bimmerforums did it once.

just rewatched the video.. hitting a bug at those speeds cannot feel too good

Not only have I seen it in other 'Ring videos, but it's in GT5 too.
The scary part is, the graffiti on the GT5 version is accurate. Or at least, it looks really familiar.
