Looks like we might have to do a little adaptin' to get cheap race radios to work. We have some headsets with Kenwood plugs:

and would like to use them with Midland radios with the 2 pin plug:

Anybody out there smarter than me on what to get? I've been told Baofeng and Midland have the same size pins and the connections are the same, is this correct?

I know my little Baofeng UV-5R will accept the 2-prong plug in your second picture, but I don't know if an adapter exists. I was under the impression that that particular 2-prong plug was referred to as a "Kenwood" plug, but I may very well be mistaken.

What does that round plug look like from the end? How many pins does it have?

Truth be told those two plugs look like the opposite ends of the cord for the radios we use at with NASA. The round plug goes in the headset and the two prong it the radio. We use (I think) Chinese copy's of a Kenwood. Then again we also have some Baofeng radios as well so I may be getting them all confused.
