My first job ever was at a Bojangles. That's still possibly my favorite chicken (when I can find it), although Popeye's and Church's have nothing to be ashamed of.
KFC seems to be very hit or miss. Find one where the people behind the line care about making good food and it's fine. Find one staffed by meth heads and work release inmates and it blows herds of chimp.
And, no. I will not be doubling down any time in the forseeable future. Stuff like that is why people fly planes into buildings.

Wow, work next to a guy for 16 years and the things you still learn. Whenever the Wallens family made a trip south of the Mason-Dixon line, we'd hit a Bojangles.
I liked it but x-crispy and moar bacon would improve it greatly. Tip, using the wrapper to hold it is a must.
And how I didn't E36 M3 myself in the junkyard after eating it is still beyond me.

Yeah, man. Donovan and I pretty much ran that place, since the rest of the staff was usually too high and/or stupid to work hot equipment. Made some damn fine chicken.

JG-
come on up to VIR with some of your co-workers for an NASA-MA event. There is a Bojangles not a half your away. Heck, if you come on the right weekend, you could watch some short track fun at South Boston too.

The Double Down is ranked as 23 on this websites 40 deadliest fast food meals.
Interestingly on this list 4 White Castle Burgers comes in at #9. Just about every double burger comes in as worse.
If you had not guessed the worst is..."The Bacon-ator"
Number 9, those people weren't here saturday morning when my friday night trip to the Castle was even making my dog sick.
is double down what you leave in the toilet after you eat one of these thing?

Hmmm . . . Would it be a bad thing if I had and like just about everything on that list???
Bojungles is the E36 M3!!!Cajun bird done right . . .
I had a double down yesterday, its pretty damned amazing imo... basically a fast food cordon bleu, with bacon and awesome instead of ham.
Very surprised the Monster Thickburger from hardee's didn't make the list, its specs are basically the same as the Triple Baconator...
just had a double down, salted batter, salted bacon with some salty melted cheese and a salted mayo sauce all brined and salted.
mmmm salt... I think next time ill just pound a salt shaker.
eating one now. Still good
The double down is awesome, you can order it grilled. Its better that way
I only see bad things from this.

KFC is awful. For everything....
I'll admit that everything they fry suxxors, but I often crave their Coleslaw. I'll get a load of Churches' chicken breasts and peppers, and walk right next door to the KFC to order a quart of slaw, no chicken. Gets me weird looks, but they don't know what I know!

Neon didn't check back in . We should probably assume the worst.
Seriously, though, the double down looks delicious. KFC's 'round here don't offer anything as interesting. They're always trying to push some healthy option instead.
Whats so bad about it? it you get it grilled I'm sure it can't be worse then a double cheeser from the clown
Grilled actually has more salt than fried. Wrap your brain around THAT one.
We saw a commercial for it last night. Oddly it was news to my wife. I still love her, though.
I had one . . .ok . . . two. I had to try both the grilled and fried and I'm still alive. Jamie watched me like I was suicide watch.
I find both of them tasty . . . .

Did the double down yesterday. I enjoyed it. Probably won't go to far out of my way for one but it was pretty tasty and I'm still alive.

Jamils', oh god what delicious Filet Mignon. You are obviously a man of good taste (are you on greencountrymotorsports.com?)
Ti Amos was pretty decent the last time I went.
El Guapo for Mexican, and eating on the 3rd floor is awesome.
McNelly's and Kilkenny's both, because admittedly, I love pub food accompanied with a glass of Fuller's Porter/Left Hand Milk Stout/Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout. Or if it's chilly out, I'll have an Irish Hot Chocolate from Kilkenny's.
That's about it for the restaurants the girlfriend and I eat at, when we go out to eat.

His last post over in the ignore thread was at 415 and he posted his status at 456 here. Maybe he's just ignoring this?

Re: KFC coleslaw. Do you guys mean that unnatural green mushy stuff that looks pre-chewed? That's what we get up here.
