def. worth watching. Kinda cliched, but it moves at a smart pace, is pretty funny, and a little disturbing at least once. No spoilers here, turn your brain off and enjoy. very violent, the heroine's cussin' ain't that bad either.

It was awesome. Hit Girl's profanity alone is worth the price of admission. The plot was kinda predictable, but still held my attention.
I liked the mass gratuitous violence, and the hallway scene is straight killer.
it gets my good movie rating...not that that is difficult to do.

nope. but if i was gay i'd probably be offended by the movie, they use the R word and there is an awful lot more that is messed up in this world than a nano-second of cussin'. plus being irish i don't really get all that shocked by the word.In reply to racerfink:

Fun movie. I liked it!
I find it ironic everyone is mad about a little girl saying naughty words but no one has a problem with the massive, detailed, and varied violent acts.

Children (and old ladies) swearing for laughs is old news. I was struck by the relationship between HG and BD. I consider that some pretty fecked-up child abuse. What kind of life would that kid to have when she grows up? That would normally never cross my mind (I don't even have kids) but that was some pretty serious E36 M3 for what was supposed to be a light-hearted movie. It really took me out of the fun.
Aside from that, it was a "meh" movie.
I don't think it was supposed to be too lighthearted. Yeah, it had its moments of frivolity, and the ending was a little too happy, but I think it did a pretty good job of showing how messed up everyone but Kick Ass was, and how he was just kind of along for the ride on something he started, but couldn't control.

Well, all I had read was Roger Ebbert's review. After seeing this trailer, I would not pay money to see this at all. All it seems to be is Kill Bill with a little girl. It would almost be funny if it weren't so sad, but the biggest marketing push with this movie seems to be Hit Girl.

i'm actually starting to think i need to see this movie.. speaking of Kill Bill and little girls- isn't there going to be a Kill Bill sequel that follows the daughter of Copperhead (who was played by Vivica A Fox) as she tries to get revenge on "the Bride's" daughter? i know Quentin Tarantino has mentioned it in interviews in the past.
