Driving from Flint, Mi to Albany, NY via Toledo was fun. Heading east from Toledo with a trailer full, two kids were berkeleying with each other in traffic.
I was in the slow lane. Kiddie in a red fastback Jap car swerves to touch doorhandles with someone in a white sedan. Maybe they know each other. I didn't get a look at the driver of the sedan, but the guy in the red fastback was in his 20s, dark hair, white BB cap.

He over reacts the get away and goes from the left side of the center lane to the righ side quickly just missing my trailer fender. Then he speeds up zipping around traffic to get in the hammer lane in front of the white car. Then he shows the guy his brake lights!

Pin head, please get away.

Outside Cleveland, some time later I roll up to cop cars on both sides of the road. The same white sedan is on the left median with the front right fender blasted in and the red fastback has left the road to the right. No guard rail so he got to hop the ditch, head up the embackment and into the scenery. No ambulance on scene and a cop was walking up to the red car. Must have just happened, it looked like it was the cop's first view. The car looked like it just left the road, straight line tracks etc., but the rear window was broken and the rear of the roof was dented up. Don't see how that could have happened.

Remember kids, you can break every law in the world except the laws of physics.

Churren like that is the very reason I tend to try and avoid the main "speedway" on my way home. Too many goobers in clapped out E36 M3boxes.

And I'll be honest.... a lot of them pull along side me thinking my car isn't what it is... and occasionally I'll show them.

there is a time and a place to play.. as they learned.. driving REAL cars like bumper cars on the freeway is not one of them

I would have stopped and added some details to the officer's accident report.

Haha, had almost the same story happen to me.

Was heading home from my girlfriend's house one Sunday night when getting on the rain soaked highway, this later 90's F150 with two dudes in it pull along side of me and try to provoke me to race. I kindly declined as i maintained my speed. They blast off down the highway at a good clip of speed. About 15 minutes and 10 miles later, flashing lights and meat wagons are on the shoulder of the highway. I slow down, and to my amazement, the same F150 is ass backwards down the embankment.

As mad machine put it - there is a time and place to play....

I am amazed that I made it through high school alive some days. Bumper tag was a huge game when I was in HS. We bolted nerf bars on front and rear, then in the middle of the night we would go and play. There were some rules so as not to try to kill each other (we were friends after all). No slamming on the brakes, no going more than 20 over the limit, and if there were more than 3 civilian cars around change streets. We all survived, as did our cars.

Looking back I think how lucky we were and would never do it again and if I ever saw something like it happening now I would call it in. But back then there was no cell phones. I did a lot of stupid things when I was young, some of us are just lucky I guess.

One time I was driving in the snow (doing about 40ish same as most traffic) and got passed by a guy in a Tahoe doing about 70mph. Sure enough 10 miles down the road, Tahoe is on it's roof in the ditch with his wife giving him the worst I told you so smackdown. I wonder if he learned.
