As the title states, anything I should be on the lookout for while I'm in the area?
Specifically things that can't, or easily be obtained in MN.
Won't have any time for tours, so hopefully stuff that could be found at liquor stores.

New Albanian in southern Indiana has some good brews. Falls City is making a comeback. And if you are a bourbon or whiskey drinker, there are more choices than you can shake a stick at.
If you'll be in the Louisville, KY area and looking for a liquor store, I highly recommend these Cox Smokers
For cheap, Very Old Barton - Bonded, not regular. Or Henry McKenna single barrel. They're kind of regional.
West 6th brewery. Country Boy brewing.
Excellent beers here in Lexington.
As far as bourbon.......honestly hard to go wrong but Buffalo Trace is the distillery I'd go to for the best flavor. If you find yourself near here shoot me a text and we might do dinner and beer.

The signs on I-71 for Kentucky Action Park are kinda funny. "KY Action Park? I wonder what kind of rides they have." "... Slip-n-slide?"
I have nothing else to offer because my sense of humor died when I was 14 but its ghost lives on. And my local stores have a decent selection.
If you're a rum fan, there's a rum distillery near charlotte that gets distribution through the state booze stores. Muddy River distillery - makes great spiced rum, their other rums are good as well, but their spiced is the best spiced rum I've had.

I'll be in Louisville on the 20th, not sure what we have planned for dinner that night.
I'll be in Louisville myself the 23-25th for my sons robotics tournament. glad I checked this thread for the local brews :)
I remember driving from Cleve's, Ohio to Kentucky on a Sunday to buy 3.2 beer when I went to Gravelrama once.
That's all I got.
Oh yeah, get some Kentucky Bourbon Barrell Ale. That stuff is great, especially on tap. Fair warning though, the booze % is pretty high and easy to get carried away with.

Seconded, and if dark beers are more your thing Bluegrass Brewing Company makes a bourbon barrell stout. Their restaurant at 2nd and main in Louisville is good eats and brews.

About 80 options to choose from. Add in the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and you can eat, drink, and be merry across the state for a couple of months.
2nd Kentucky Bourbon Barrel, the stout is very good too if you like stouts. Funny enough I don't like bourbon but I love both their stout and ale.
Yazoo Brewery in Nashville is good, but if looking for breweries, Asheville, NC is the place to go.
In Nashville we have some good local brews, Yazoo, Tailgate Brewery (they have a peanut butter stout that tastes like a reeses in a glass, it's awesome) Fat Bottom Brewery, Jackalope, I could go on and on.
