It appears there will be two. Big and small
The big is based on the Ranger with two and four doors.
The small will have some hints of the Escape
All will be 4WD with low range

The official release in Monday, if you hadn't heard.
I keep getting reminders of that at work, and that I should really care about it. Except that personally, I don't, as I don't like SUVs.
But I appreciate that so many here are excited!!! I hope many find that they have to have a brand new one. ;)
Jalopnik had a leaked list of options early in the week but I can't find it now. The engine options will be the 2.3EB and the 2.7EB. The bigger of the two makes enough power to hustle an F150, it should be a beast in the Bronc.
the other one that caught my eye was optional 4.7 ratio front and rear lockers.
and there are 3 models if you count the sport, although it's only a compact suv riding the name.
make mine the 2dr with the 2.7 and the low lockers.
I am betting that Chevy is going to look at their new Blazer and say "dammit" after these start selling well.

GMC could bring back the Jimmy in a proper way.
preach said:2dr, 4dr, Sport. I think the Sport should have been called the Escape or something, not bronco.
Didn't the Explorer start as a four door Bronco? Or am I misremembering?
It'll be called the Bronco because look at how excited everyone is over an SUV with a very specific name. Also see how upset people got over using another name on an electric SUV. Words have power ;)
I think conceptually it was a 4dr outgrowth of the Bronco II but I don't think it ever wore the name officially.

Don't forget the Mustang II.
Remember the Alamo?
Wish I could forget the bronco II.

No. The big Bronco was full size F150 based and the Bronco II was Ranger based. The Bronco II grew 2 more doors and became the Explorer. The full size Bronco got discontinued at the end of 96 with the death if the metal F150 and was replaced in the line up and factory with the 4 door plastic F150 based Expedition.
The embargoed press stuff just went out, I expect it to be posted somewhere within the hour. Not by me of course, some folks just don't seem to care about embargoes.

Man, the PN96 trucks I had were pretty rusty considering they were made of plastic..

I was hoping somebody would post that. They are counting down to the reveal with classic Bronco commercials. It's pretty neat.

I was thinking the same thing. Remember when they were practically free? I looked at used prices not long ago. Sheesh.
