I didn't realize those hydrostatic transmissions were up for that, all I read about for pulling rakes and things was that they're made of glass. That's good to know

I wouldn't suggest it without upgrading the trans, mine "went out" just over 100 hours. JD offered me another trans since they are "sealed", so I called Tuff Torq who said that I needed to upgrade the nylon gears to metal and put 20w50 racing oil in it. They sold me the kit, I did it and have had no issues since. Most for sale have trans problems or are rotted out.

So.... I don't know what the fix was since I apparently switched the wires on the solenoid when I reinstalled it. All that testing and troubleshooting and I didn't go back to that since I'd already "proved" it was good. Glad I took it to the shop and paid him $50 to test it and switch the wires haha.
