I've just gotten a new to me Cub Cadet lawn tractor and I'm looking for a proper forum that has good information, knowledgeable members, etc. Anybody?
Good place for parts online?

I have been watching the prices of these (early to late 1960's) and they are climbing. I see a ton of stuff on ebay.
It all started when I saw a restored CC lawn tractor pulling a trailer - all repainted and mint in my local parade three years ago.
These things are so cool........Congrats!
I've been nursing an old Huskee GT riding mower for the last 3 mowing seasons and the carb is finally shot and I wasn't too keen on speding $180 to buy a new one so I decided to start looking around. The farmer down the way from me restores tractors and has them up for sale on the side of the road. He's always got a no kidding Cub Cadet tractor out there. That's what got me interested.
I didn't get anything too big. I ended up getting a LT 2042 for $700 with only 40 hours on it. There's some things I need to sort out from lack of use, mainly the carb. I figure I did ok since I saw one local guy on CL that paid $4400 new and was asking $2200 used for his.
I don't remember all the tractor sites when I was looking but they're out there to find w/ a little googleage. They are a great bunch of helpful guys too, they are very serious about their equipment.
Thanks guys, I found several but I know what the guys on here consider a good forum. I've wasted more time on VW and BMW forums waiting for intelligent things to happen.
@ fasted58... I joined a chainsaw forum and the old guys on there were seroious about restoring chainsaws. I suspect the same from the tractor guys, heck, probably the same guys.

I was on the chainsaw sites too, the guys were super great. Troubleshooting tips, where to find new old stock parts, some even copied manuals to download. These old guys really know their stuff, saved me a lotta time sorting out saws. I printed a Homelite XL manual from their site, I wasn't likely to find one anywhere else.
