Android Turbo II. Verizon service. I am getting ad pop ups.
Verizon tech coach has tried and they still pop up. I've tried changing settings as per instructions I've found online and they still pop up.
I've resolved myself to try an ad blocker. There are many to choose from. Any one have experience with one that works?
These are coming from banks, real estate companies. doctors offices, games, magnetic teeth.
I don't do web searches on my phone so I have no idea why they have just started coming up.
Thanks!
I'd just do a factory reset after a contact backup honestly.
I've been using adguard for a few years now, works pretty well, but some stuff still sneaks through the filter.
Mother of all ad blockers, MoAB, was overkill in what it blocked, and also required root to install.

This. Fixing this problem with a popup blocker is like fixing leprosy with really good bandages.
I've never seen a popup ad on my phone, but then the Firefox I use on it most of the time is pretty heavily modified.

I'm gonna agree. I've always used Android and never had pop-ups or used a blocker.
Something has been added to your phone.
Back up your pictures and your contacts. Write yourself a list of the apps you use most and then find the factory reset function in the settings menu of the phone. From there, restore the handset back to "as new" with a factory rest.
Once done, reload only the apps you like and trust.
