Hi everyone.
Me again....still haven't bought a house. The one that was mentioned here fell through, owners weren't willing to budge. The last house we got really lucky and found out there was a sinkhole claim on the property before we got too far along in the process. This next house is the most promising but also a long shot.
We found a house that's in the foreclosure process, set to be auctioned "on the courthouse steps (online)" on 9/11. I've been reading a lot about the process and I'm still trying to figure out what other claims to the property we would have to pay out IF we won the auction.Assuming the that all checks out, my next biggest issue is this would be a cash purchase.
My wife and I have excellent credit as well as a significant amount of savings in cash/somewhat liquid investments.Before we liquidate all of that and trigger tax gains/ drain 401k/IRAs...I was hoping to find a hard money lender. Obviously for the cash needs but I was also hoping to find someone familiar with the foreclosure process that could advise regarding title searches/etc.
Anyone?
