What's the good, the bad, and do I want one? 2 kids seats must be able to fit.
You probably do want one. Rear diff seal is weak, but probably fixed by now. Rust could be a minor issue.
By the way you already started an identical thread about 2 years ago

I know I did. Well, I thought I did. LOL I keep going back and forth between it and an Evo. Evo's are higher priced, but are the Evo's REALLY that badass?
In reply to mndsm:
Sadly you got that right. I test drove a NEW one that had stitching coming apart.
The MS6 is more comparable to the Legacy GT then the EVO/STI In saying that what exactly are you looking for?
The Mazda is a Die Hard movie. It has plenty of action, a decent plot, solid construction and is very enjoyable.
The Evo is a Hong Kong martial arts flick watched at 2x speed. All of the holes and shortcomings are expected because it is all about the action and nothing but the action.

This is an excellent analogy
So, if I am a family man and need to put 2 car seats in the back from time to time, and would like an inexpensive but FUN, reliable, and relatively large aftermarket supported vehicle, which would you choose?

..Mazda.
In reply to Conquest351:
Fine, the mazda......but only if you get an '06 in Dark Cherry Mica. All the other colors are for peasants and yuppies.
Are these under $10k yet? Because they could be had just off lease 5 years ago for sub $15k......
I would not use an EVO as a family hauler. As fate would have it, we use a Mazda6 (non-Speed) for that purpose.

Which Evo? VIII/IX/X?
The X I have is surprisingly spacious and I think it should be OK to put two child seats in the back, but there's not that much room in the trunk.
If you want a nutso handling machine with pretty ample power, yes, the Evo is badass.

I have a thing for white cars. All I can find is the silver, black, or that Cherry Mica. LOL
In reply to Conquest351:
DCM and the Pearl white were 2006 colors only......2007 saw only black, silver, grey, and red. I hope that helps you narrow your search.
Also, the white is a good color, but DCM is epic. Kind of a burgundy in direct sunlight, purple in low light, and black at night.
Another thought, do I want this more than the Legacy GT? What about an WRX/STI? Is the lag that insane and is the interior that tight that I should rule them out completely?
Based on your Avatar seems like you should get the Mazda. I only rode in a coworkers mazdasperd 6 to lunch in traffic. So limited experience but it is much more comfortable than the Evo.
Not sure of your spouse situation but IMO:
Spouse meter:
MS 6 = mostly
Evo8/9 = mostly with some
Evo10 = even
For the driver the Evo is supreme! No question.
