I have a set of craftsmans that are probably 15 years old. They held up fine but the ratchet requires too much movement for tight spots.
Had a few gearwrenches, they always seemed good, smooth and required less movement to ratchet.
The harbor freight ones are nicer than my old craftsmans. Much cheaper too. They are more like the gearwrench stile. They dont require much movement to ratchet. I think all the ones i have used were non flex head and no switch for direction.
One of the best things with them is the socket inserts. I have them for my craftsman metrics and they have saved my butt a few times when a 1/4” ratchet and socket were too tall. I was able to get the knock sensor off the vg30 3.0 v6 while it was in the truck, thanks to the ratchet wrench with socket. Had to come in from the back between firewall and intake but got the wrench on. Not easy as i have big hands, xl-xxl glove size.
