No Mac, but youre probably right, Id imagine there are ways to find my shows. I just like reliability. Its like - a megasquirt CAN run your car, but if you dont tune it right, who knows for how long. The factory ECU will do a great job, its just not as great as you want it to be...I want the best of both worlds damnit lol

In the past, torrent sites I used (primarily for MP3s in the late 90s) always loaded you down with malware, trojans, viruses etc...have things changed?

SWMBO...in the end, they all must be obeyed, regardless of your ring situation...

I've been hesitant to shift to that despite it being the norm here simply because I don't consider it accurate nor do I think she would either. Unless we're talking what I wear when we go out (and will be seen together)... on THAT yes, I pretty much have to obey her.

Don't know about public sites, I wouldn't be interested in using them.

I've been using a private site for racing for nearly 4 seasons with no issues.

When it comes to more major, popular stuff on the networks or major cable channels, this is true- I've proven I can get most any of those on short order when something has happened that the DVR hasn't recorded something properly and she doesn't want to wait for it to show up On Demand.

But for shows on channels like HGTV, it's proven much harder to find them online. HGTV themselves only put up a very limited number of shows/episodes on their site, and the few I've looked for online elsewhere have simply not existed. Example: our On Demand had a small number- probably less than half, missing every other one or so- of episodes of Brother vs. Brother. We watched the episodes that were availalbe and enjoyed the show- but have so far been completely unable to find the rest of them to see the houses/builds we missed.

Disclaimer: I'm (at home) using a Mac too, so it's possible that the sites are throwing up stuff that would be harmful to a Windows box, but most of the ones I grab stuff from (Pirate Bay being the first place I look) don't seem to give me any trouble- the files are what they claim to be with nothing 'extra' thrown in.
