Looking for a decent punching bag ( or something of that sort) for training, I have previously used Century Bob at karate, but looking for something at home that I can practice by myself. I will be using boxing gloves and short stick.

Per Adam Carolla's advice. Order a leather (just the outer part) heavy bag its basically a sleeve. Then order the inside kit for a water filled heavy bag. You want water filled because there's uniform give and leather outer because it's better than the other materials. Apparently companies that make heavy bags don't sell what I described as a package deal.

A big Everlast heavy bag is hard to beat. (literally) I grew up with one in our basement, and now I have one in my car-port. They've developed new materials for them--- to make them easier on the hands. The ones' I've used are kind of like sandpaper--- you NEED to wear gloves while pounding on it. Best stress relief ever!

As long as you use them on a regular basis-- -they last a long time.
