Hello All,
I've been calling around to find a transmission shop that will replace a 5th gear syncro in my 1993 Rx-7. I've pulled the transmission myself but I'm having a tough time locating a shop that will take on the job. They tell me they don't do any bench work and they won't warranty the work. Can anyone recommend a good shop.

All I can say is avoid the franchised chains. They only want the high dollar auto's still in the car....
I'm sure there are some Orlando folk that visit this forum that'll be able to direct you to some reputable shops

not that it helps you.. but when I needed to the trans in my classic 900.. my two choices were an import shop that quoted me 5 grand to pull and replace my trans... or the old guy I found who used to be saab tech back when my 900 was new..
he cost me $900.
Call around.. there is bound to be somebody who specializes in the RX7 who can probably help you
Try Speedsource. They're in Fla. If they can't/won't help you, they'll know someone who can.
