I agree 100%.
We're currently looking for either a small cabin with some land, or 50+ acres of bush to build one on.
This is my family's place in the Nicolet National Forest in Northern Wisconsin. We are off the grid but we do have LP, solar panels, and a generator. The outhouse is just barely visible in the first picture. The rain barrel is only for summer time outdoor showers .
If I had a remote cabin, it would be utterly awesome in its own right, AND I'd have an excuse to get a Unimog.

You don't need a cabin to have an excuse for a 'mog. The excuse is simple "Because they are awesome".
