Aside from what GRTech believes... my son commited to this for an October gathering. I'm digging the menu and open bar.

I've been to a wedding there a couple of years ago. It was very nice. Food was good. I'm not sure what it cost, but as a guest I enjoyed it.
I too got married at a barn, ceremony outside, reception inside.

Should we consider this an invitation?
A nice place for a whiiiitte wedding...
Okay, I'm probably the only person that got Billy Idol out of that thread title.
We got married in the back yard. There was a beef brisket and a pork tenderloin cooking on the smoker for when we were done. Best smelling wedding ceremony EVER.
One thing we did that was a bit odd was we took all the pictures beforehand. The end result was the same, but this way we didn't abandon our friends and family for an hour or two after the service. It went straight from service to celebration. Worked beautifully. Our photographer said he'd never enjoyed a wedding quite so much - and because he was having fun, we got some fantastic casual shots of the party as well as just the usual posed ones.
NY in October - that could be gorgeous if you catch the colors right.

We did the same and it worked out great. I would highly recommend this to anybody planning a wedding.
The formal, posed pics of family and wedding party were all done at the chapel beforehand. Upon arriving at the reception location, we took a few pics by the stream (reception at a historic mill), but that was just bride and groom, and only about 15 minutes.
We got to attend the cocktail hour before dinner. And the photographer got lots of shots of guests arriving and drinking/dancing at the cocktail hour.
That's a helluva place. Wow.
We got married at our house, had a good friend do the pics, basically we decided against a big wedding so we could put more $ in the house.
I thought Billy Idol too when I first read the title.
We got married in a church with no electricity and no plumbing/bathrooms - in the end of May. That was my way to make sure it was short & to the point.
I'm pushing to have my wedding in the Keys, that way I have an exscuse to not have all the rednecks on my moms side to show up. And we both have family down in florida.
But that place in the link looks nice.
In the Keys? Check out Largo Lodge in Key Largo. I think it would be perfect for a wedding. Quaint, ol' timey Florida, nice rooms, and lots of outdoor space for a cerimony. My favorite place in the Keys. Definately not a 4 star place, but major kewl factor.
I read an article recently about a couple that got married in a Waffle House (that's where they met).
Talk about grassroots!
I had the imperial march played by the rest of the wedding party, after the ceremony, on kazoos.
Well I didn't make them, they conspired against me.

Actually we're going to need a Wally to run people from a local hotel to the place, reduces DWIs.
When Kim graduated from college, Daddy said "Party at the yacht club on Long Island, open bar, dinner etc. or cash equivalent?"
PARTY!!
Ian is trying to tone it down and save a few bucks, but it's Daddy's money and she is from Long Island....
Congrats. the party bus is a good idea, the place my sister got married set us up with one and it helped out alot. Everyone was able to work up a good buzz before going back to the hotel and drinking themselves into oblivion.

I like your wedding party.
I always thought the Throne Room March from the end of Star Wars would be a good wedding march. But my bride conspired against me.
I'm all about small weddings now.
still paying off my last one. payments lasted longer than the marriage.
Got married in the Hillsborough County Courthouse. Ten family and friends joined in. Wound up with almost the entire court house staff joining in the fun. Good times, still married to her.
My wife and I got married for a total of ~ $7500. We were shooting for $5k, but our "Weddings? I love weddings! Drinks all around!" (IE, we're coming) responses were about 50 more than we expected...
I think the Michiganders didn't know how to respond when the Elvis impersonator (aka my uncle) serenaded my wife...
