I think we all agree about whats ok irl, but seem to differ in when it is acceptable to joke in a manner contrary to how we act. 

I think a root cause is that sarcasm is poorly conveyed without vocal inflection. I am constantly reminded of this as I learn ASL, where deaf speakers have similar problems detecting that ubiquitus 'just joking' tone so natural to most people. Its amazing how much reading something in a different tone can completely change the meaning and intent.

Source please. Everything I've read refers to "the couple is filing for divorce" but I've not seen anything specific about actual papers. Most of the news sites have the story but it is a week old or more.

Then what is it as it pertains to this situation? Certainly not social status; she grew up well off (private high school, Princeton), she got a job at a hedge fund, she married him before he founded the company...If anything, you could accuse him of it--17 year old mother, abandoned by his father, Cuban immigrant step-father/adoptive father, public high school, etc.
