I got a notification this morning about a fine for BAC, something about fake accounts and double-charged overdraft fees. Didnt look into it at all because I dont think the fine is big enough to move the share price, so cant comment on the veracity, just saying they may also be in trouble for something fee related also
$250 million fine for double charging and fake accounts. Talk about a slap on the wrist. No wonder they did it after Wells Fargo got hit for the same thing, the fine doesn't even affect the bottom line.

So you guys are finally figuring out why banks love giving out credit cards for government funded programs like EBT? Congratulations and welcome to 1990! It's getting too late to stop it now. Just wait until we get CBDC and everything has built in transaction fees on every end of things.
Yea I'll never partake in that E36 M3. China is currently using their developmental roll out of it to track every last thing a person does, consumes, etc and rolls it into their social credit score. It's literally a life immitating art from a Black Mirror episode. Cash will always be king.

That's not even what I'm talking about either. So they've found in Maryland that BOA was setting up fraudulent unemployment claims, as they're the issuers of the debit cards, then having the state and feds apply the funds to accounts tied to the fraudulent claim accounts. I haven't heard what they did to procure the funds from there to funnel the money whereas they wanted, but yeah.
Between them and SoFi underwriting mortgages backed by cryptocurrency (which I'm okay with as a speculative investment) this country's banking system isn't on the firmest of ground.

I think all you keyboard lawyers need to lighten up - it's a fee. Yes we're being hit with fees for everything in life these days, but what are the alternatives? Rent somewhere else? if the fee isn't spelled out separately it's in the rent - one way or another.
Buy a place? Then you get to pay all sorts of new "fees", called taxes.
I mean, $2.50 a month is just not enough to get this upset about.....
You ever hear about the squeaky wheel? If you don't squeak $2.50 turns into $5... then $10.... then $25.... then $100 and by then it's acceptable and you are just haggling fee amounts.
Give an inch they will take 10 miles.
