I've stumbled on a hot track, but never fallen all the way over. I personally consider the risk part of the job. Seems the insurance companies and sanctioning bodies in the US don't feel that way anymore, though. I've largely quit working Pro races because of it. I'll just go to a club race where I can do my job. If working turns comes to nothing but sticking a flag through a hole in the fence, I'll probably quit and just come drink beer in the infield with you guys.

before I read all the flames shot at me, I'd like to retract my post ... yeah I know once said never forgotten ...

but after further review I realized there was only a local yellow at the time... the full course came later ... my bad....

No prob, dude. All I was gonna say to your other post was, "Well, wouldn't you like safety car periods to be shorter as well?" And even that was gonna be friendly-like, not a flame. I think a lot of people-some workers included, actually-have forgotten that we (the workers) are supposed to serve the needs of our sport. Get that course clean, get back to green flag racing as quickly as possible.
