Just got back from the limited screening of "Mass Effect: Paragon Lost". A full length feature anime film produced by my daughter.

IT WAS EXCELLENT!

As I said on Facebook "Movie premiere of my daughters movie. She wrote it, directed it, did the voice characters, starred in it, edited it and everything. It was even based on her life. The movie is "Mass Effect: Paragon Lost" - Which is obviously hyperbole since, while we did live in an alien planet when she was growing up, it was definitely not destroyed. I guess I was more than a little proud.

Very grown up story line and those of you into science fiction will see Heinlein & Norton's influence.

I can't comment on the graphics because I don't know what is traditional in Anime. I saw some Speed Racer in it at places and some Pixar in others, but the anime is secondary to the story line.

Go check it out: http://www.masseffectparagonlost.com/

Plenty of clips, but a clip won't let you get into it like you do in the full movie. There was clapping & cheering.

Freddie Prinz Jr. was the voice of the main character.

The character of April in the movie was based upon my daughter and the drawing was done from an old picture of her, missing tooth & all.

And while you can't see it very well our whole family's names are on the memorial plinth for Fehl Prime.

This would make a great stocking stuffer for Christmas.

It was a great evening. We began the evening where my son is a Sous Chef and he dazzled us with his creativity and cooking skills. I embarrassed him with my uncouth antics. So I had fun there too!

Congrats man. I imagine successfully producing a feature film for BioWare makes some powerful people very happy. That's a heck of a company and a heck of a franchise to be associated with right now. Sounds like her career is definitely heading in good directions.

I certainly hope so. I need my kids to be able to support me in my old age.

Wow! That is awesome. Mass Effect (all of them) are my absolute favorite games, and I've been playing games since Zork. I even ran a Traveller table-top RPG set to Mass Effect. I have kind of an obsession.

Well, this is the place for you!

You'll need to buy the DVD then. This is one of those story lines that would make a good movie. I just can't figure out who would be the best part for Bruce Willis.

You'll need to log in to post.
