St. Louis Post-Dispatch said: KMOV reporter Matt Sczesny punched by stranger while on the job ALORTON • KMOV reporter Matt Sczesny was punched by a stranger while on the job Monday night. Sczesny was in Alorton standing outside a KMOV truck when a man walked up to him and asked if he could ask him a question. Sczesny said sure, and the man punched him, according to Sean McLaughlin, KMOV's executive news director. Sczesny was not seriously hurt, said McLaughlin, just "a little shaken up." He's taking a couple of days off and will be back at work later this week. McLaughlin said there was no indication what prompted the attack. The station is reviewing its procedures for reporter safety, McLaughlin said. Sczesny joined KMOV as a weekend co-anchor and is also a general assignment reporter during the week.

Needless to say, that wasn't a very polite question. I mean the fist one was, but the followup question wasn't.

Also, a few days off work? Really?

He probably got his pretty face screwed up a bit. Certainly no Ron Burgundy.

Only marginally related (and I'm sure a repost), but this one is funny no matter how many times you see it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77PymmxMLJM

Disappointed by the fact that there's no "Alcohol may have been involved" line.

I thought this was going to be a rant about those stupid people at the mall that wanna smear crap all over me. I generally don't get approached by them....maybe it's the appearance.

I tend to find random (non harmful) violence funny. Probably because of:

It's interesting that it is one form of comedy that does not seem to have been successfully copied or mimicked.

There was something similar to that happening here years ago. Except it was at gas stations, and they would ask if this car was for sale. When the person would say no, they would punch them. Friend of mine's brother turned his head after that and the guy caught him at the back of the jaw. Dislocating and breaking it. They never caught the perp either.

I am paranoid and always on guard. I always expect when a stranger walks up and asks me something that I am about to be attacked. That guy WOULD have went to the hospital, and likely I would have went to jail.

Mostly though they just come up with some sob story and beg me for money. Just the other day a guy, in a newer Buick, freshly washed, drove up to me at Lowes and said he was homeless and he would appreciate any change I might have I wanted to rip him out of the car and drop all 35 80# bags of Quickcrete 5000 I was pushing to the truck on his berkeleying head.

I think I have SUCKER, writtten on my forehead, in an ink that only lowlifes can read

In reply to aircooled:

i laugh whenever i see someone get punched in the balls. so i damn near suffocated the other night when Tosh.0 aired a bit called "rock paper balls" wherein two dudes put pillow cases over their heads and do a standard Rochambeau. only there's a third, not blindfolded, participant who punches the loser in the balls. comedy gold, i tell you.

Hint: do not search for "rock paper balls" on YouTube, unless you are a "wise guy" :). In other words, it is absolutely hilarious.
