FWIW: There is a DJ on East Village Radio doing an ill ass set of all Beasties right now. Listening on "Tunein Radio" app.

Is this is gonna be that kind of party I'm sticking my d!ck in the mash potatoes!
Was it Paul's Boutique where after the first two songs the album started playing this wild bluegrass/country jam? I could only imagine it was so if you had it cranked in your car, maybe trying to impress some friends, this country-fied stuff would start blaring out the speakers to throw salt in your game? Yeah..that was awesome.

Absolutely. Cancer is a miserable bitch.
I remember watching this when it aired: (Live at PJ's on Letterman) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8Rs-I2K148
You can see where 90% of the street skaters in 1992 got their fashion direction
I will be playing my Licensed to Ill cassette in my in-dash tape deck in memory of MCA...A real innovator has left the game. Such a shame. I will never forget the wonderful stuff he helped create.
RIP
In reply to Woody: I hear ya. I've been listening to them since licensed to ill. Can't believe one of the beastie boys is dead, and at 47 no less. Sad, sad day.
Sad. Now we have to wait for head-in-a-jar technology.
On a side note, Junior, now MCA, who will be #3?

As a fan I am saddened by the loss of an icon that has affected so much more than just the music industry.
I remember somebody from who moved to Albany from NYC talking about Cooky Puss back in like 1985, and thinking yeah, I never heard of these jokers, they'll never be big.
The next year I was proven all berkeleyING kind of wrong.

Somewhere around 1983 I said "Motley Crue can barely play and if "too Fast For Love" is all they have then they are already has-beens." Then I threw up half a quart of Southern Comfort but I still stand by that statement. It is just no one told all those retards who bought albums.
So I'm listening to that hour long set, and I start to realize just how impotant this dude was to modern music. I was in the third grade when I heard License to Ill, and half those songs didn't even make sense to me, but I knew these dudes (and RUN DMC) were way better than the other E36 M3 on the radio.
I remember seeing the video for "Hey Ladies!" and going "Oh E36 M3, the Beasties are still around, and still funny...."
I remember the first time I saw the video for "So Whatcha Want" and going DAMN! These guys are not only still around, and still top-notch; they're the whole package!"
And so it goes.
I feel bad that I'm just now realizing what a huge impact MCA had on modern music. I cried when that E36 M3 really hit me.
How many good Hip Hop "GROUPS" are still out there??? I can count them in one hand.
