I was watching STTNG tonight when an Acura commercial came on.  It was a 2022 MDX towing a recent NSX on an open trailer.  "MDX blah, blah, blah.  MDX blah, blah, blah.  Towing capacity 5000 pounds, blah" Wait, what?

A MDX has a 5000 pound towing capacity, I know that.  But just how much does a NSX weigh anyhow?   Right, the "regular" NSX is 3945 pounds.  Invoke my mad math skills and I come up with 5000 minus 3945 equals 1055.

Just where did Acura come up with a dual axle car trailer that weighs 1055 pounds?  Or is it just Hollywood?

I need to find something better to do.

I think they changed the mdx trans twice while shooting that commercial.

If you can afford an MDX and an NSX, you should be able to afford a CF+titanium trailer too cheeky

What a coincidence as I spotted this gliding into work.

Black and white Delaware plate (I think) on the NSX.  They can afford the MDX transmissions.
