Well, the GRM off-topic is starting to look like the classifieds, so I might as well throw my name in too.
30+ years construction management and supervision experience, as well as superior hands-on skills (all aspects of residential and commercial, including Historic Restoration, churches, log and timber framed structures, etc.). Trim, framing, woodworking, general contracting (licensed), CAD design, estimating, but mostly darned good at getting stuff done on-time and on-budget. Particularly good at jobs which involve difficult problem solving. Great understanding of codes, regulations, and engineering principles.
Though I have loved raising my family in the rural South, it's time to relocate. Not much is going to change anytime soon here, and 80% unemployment in my field in this area is too big a challenge to overcome. Would prefer Atlanta, Birmingham, or other big southern city, but open to ideas.
I've been self-employed for most of my life, also worked in industrial maintenance, disaster response, and non-profit community development (Habitat for Humanity for 10 years). I'd rather be connected to a quality big company.
Completely capable on a computer, but function best when my role is 50% or less tied to one.
Thoughts?

put a sign on your door, "GTT" and head to Texas. Houston if you can stand it, Dallas/Ft Worth if you can't. Austin if you want to be perpetually underemployed. seems to be an OK market here, not booming, but not 80% unemployment at least.
Tulsa or Oklahoma City?
Relatively low tax rates, very low cost of living, etc. Seem to be plenty of jobs around.....
I have heard good things about Huntsville Al. though that may change with the space program situation. Nashville Tn. seems like it is always a work in progress, at least the roads are.
I don't know anything that would help you, but after reading so many of your posts I was going to ask if you would hire me! I suspect you will do well. You have too many skills not to.
Come to my house and finish it? Work on my Challenge car? I've got plenty of jobs for you, but they don't pay well. But there's usually whiskey in the cabinet and beer in the fridge!

I'm not sure "top 10 poster on GRM" qualifies me for much other than being a blabber mouth!
I'd love to be the one doing the hiring- usually have been.
North? 32* below this morning- makes for an interesting day in the construction game....

We should swap.
You are probably more qualified for my VW based Challenge project than I.
If only I could get my kids to like whiskey better!

Though I am sitting in a tee shirt right now, I actually miss the cold (I'm a displaced Yankee). I remember the days of thawing the ice off the top plates with a blow torch before framing the roof!

I'm on the job search too Internship search actually. I think I have one lined up, but I'm having a hard time accepting it because it would pay about 1/4-1/2 of my regular summer job I suppose that real world experience is necessary though.
Make that another one on the job search. Good luck.
Jacksonville? Got heathcare experience? Probably a little less hands-on than you're used to though but still way less than 50% computer time.

I'll vouch for you!

I could probably do it, but my resume is a little light on jobs of that scale. Most of my projects are under $1 million, maxing at about $5 million. I've done some healthcare, but generally much smaller. Pretty sure my resume would be overlooked for that one, but thank you for the reference. I'll tell them fastEddie told me to call.
Do you work with them?

I KNOW this guy, worked with him on Haiti relief. His resume above shows another of his attributes- he is very modest! A very capable organizer, and good people person.

Take care of the small things, the big things will take care of themselves.

If you really miss the cold I could use a new front porch. it's 21 deg right now.
Man o man I wish I could help (and get you to Gainesville). The guy across the street has been the Builder for two "Extreme Home Makeover" houses. I'm sure he would love to hire/work with you.
Heck, If you are willing to travel the GRM world could probably odd job you to death for awhile.
