Damn it still there. In town and cheap. But somewhen it got taken apart and lord knows if it is organized. I know I never really organized any project, but I never dumped one on some other unsuspecting soul. Oh sorry my mind is somewhere else. What am I talking about? A car of course. It's even on the list. List you say? You know the list of cars that if they show up near by and cheap you have to almost shoot yourself to stop from running out and getting it despite what SWMBO sill say. This particular car is a Rambler Marlin. Marlin? just think of an early Barracuda but made from a Rambler instead of a Plymouth. Basically a fastback Rambler. What's the problem? 3 car garage 4 cars and at least 2 of them have to be in the garage over the winter. Yes I live in the land of metel eating salt, and if you want a car to last you keep it garaged. So that leaves 1 bay open. Yes but the the place is a pig sty right now. Getting old is a pain and cleaning up after projects and maintenance gets hard. But you just retired. Yeah but cleaning up is hard for me and causes anger issues so I have to stop after a bit to keep from causing problems , better to walk away and leave is sit than to start complaining and yelling over stuff. Any way TMI right? Safe to say no room for all the pieces in addition to the shell it self. Also the Marlin is at or near the bottom of the list and I am not sure I want to start at the bottom and work up. I hope someone rescues it or it can stay there until I get the garage cleaned out.  If you read this far thanks. again just venting.

Last time I saw a Marlin in the metal it was an old guy at a gas station late in the evening.  It was a remarkably clean, original looking car.  I walked up to him and commented on the rarity.

Turned out he was an estate lawyer and it was sitting in the deceased's garage for 30 years.  The attorney traded a substantial amount of his fee for it.

In reply to zordak :

Ouch, I appreciate what you're saying relative to living creatures (we don't have room but the poor thing needs somewhere to live) but I've spent my whole life in Southern California where one can park something and get to it 10, 20, 30 yeas later; no problem.

I'm sorry my friend.

If it is a killer deal and you always wanted one buy it and leave it outside for the winter while you regroup.  Salt does not fall from the sky so if it just sits still, maybe with a few cans of fluid film applied to the bottom, what is the harm?  The problem with this logic is sooner or later you will need to shuffle the priorities to put it inside.
