Anti-semitism wasn't specific to Nazi Germany.
Hell, I was just reading about a Hungarian who was in a concentration camp that was liberated by American GIs, and he was so thankful that he emigrated to the US and worked hard to improve his English enough to join the military... right as the Korean "police action" started. His Sargeant was deeply anti-semitic and gave him all of the toughest assignments in the hopes that he would get killed, and refused to recommend him for medals.
He ended up being a POW for most of the war, and when he came back, he still wasn't recognized. Not until the mid 2000s.
