B-b-but GMOs are bad. Celebrity/Facebook/YouTube said so.

Laughing? No. But, I'll not shed a tear. UHC has denied me on several occasions.
So, here's the thing. My personal sense of ethics told me that I did not find it right to have a job designing and manufacturing weapons. (a real thing that I chose to move to a different area rather than to pursue). We all have different lines of our personal ethics and the ethics of those who surround us.
Differences in our senses of ethics get very politically adjacent...
I dont necessarily think everyone who builds weapons are awful people, but my choice was to commit my career to something that helped people be safe. While one could argue that weapons used defensively can help people, I just wasnt comfortable.
To get too detailed would get political, but I dont think healthcare is an area where "maximizing shareholder value" meets with many peoples ethics and it would be easy to see people doing that as awful.

I understand! My inner set of ethics would have had a big problem with this decision if I was also allowed to test said weapons.
Me: Your are designing things for the express purpose of killing people, don't do that!
Also me: You get to shoot really big guns and make things go BOOM!

Australian breaker Rachael Gunn's legal team has stopped a musical parody about her journey to the Paris Olympics from taking to the stage.
The show titled 'Raygun: The Musical' was created by Australian comedian Steph Broadbridge, who was also due to feature in the cast.
It was due to debut on Saturday at Kinselas in Darlinghurst, Sydney, but Broadbridge was forced to cancel the show after lawyers sent a cease and desist letter, saying that the Olympian owned the dance moves.

Yeah, it's almost like maybe we probably should not post socially (or politically obviously) charged memes. Posting such things essentially demands some sort of reply, or it implies concent to the implied message (we are hunting CEO's now vs: no, some vigilante clown took the law in their own hands and murdered someone and that is not OK in any way, even if he is an a-hole).
or maybe pull the stick outta your butt and learn how to have fun.

36 hours and two pages later that topic has moved on you decide to bring it back up?
A long time ago, I was looking for a supercharged, yellow X-terra. I never did get one. I couldn't even find a yellow one for sale nearby.
There are three yellow X-terras I see regularly in the neighborhood, one of which is supercharged . There is also a supercharged one in this meme- or at least it has the supercharged style wheels on it.

Oh, I get it. As long as it's presented in a "fun" way. Hunting down people and killing them in cold blood is fun? People can post on pretty much any subject here then, eh? Are you sure that is what you want? Perhaps I should search out some of those "fun" cartoons that were created during WWII.
And of course. "hey, just drop it". For me not to reply to this.... again, implies acceptance of it.
Again.... as with before... best not to bring these thing up in the first place, right?
I am sorry, if I see something posted that I think is violation of the rules, or the spirit of the rules, even if some others don't (likely because they agree with the sentiment), I think it's appropriate to comment.
One of the reasons this board is so good is that is pretty good at self-moderating. In order for that to work, it has to, self-moderate.
You'll need to log in to post.
