I might've owned both of those cars - mine was an '84 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme with maroon velour interior - looks like the picture. Hated the padded top and wire wheel hub caps
Then I bought my Dad's 150,000 mile 1987 Lincoln Town Car Cartier Edition.
The Lincoln was way nicer than the Oldsmobile but both were $1200 beaters.
