Ok I would like a 4x4 for Off-roading/winter daily since i wont subject the miata to salt. I have room for 3 vehicles but it wouldn't be the most convenient. But saying that the XJ, NA, Fiesta combo would be 0 debt. I am somewhat interested in the new JL wrangler depending on the 4cyl turbo mpg numbers since my commute is 100 miles a day. 2 cars would be significantly easier to deal with but i am not sure if i want to finance the Jeep. I can easily afford it and Wranglers seem to be immune to depreciation but being debt free sounds nice.
What's wrong with the Fiesta and NA Miata for 50 miles each way? Just use the XJ Jeep for off-roading and snow days
Debt free IS nice, but, more to the point, are you REALLY sure you want to trust your daily commute to the first year of a new generation of anything, let alone a JL Wrangler? FCA has had some pretty lurid recalls lately, and even at its best the Wrangler has never been what you call a shining star of reliability. Call me boring, but I'd rather sit out the first MY and read everything I could about how other people were doing. While I stayed debt free.
I'll vote for debt free. Make the new Jeep monthly payment to your 401K or IRA account.
Take it from a pilot: Never fly the A model of anything.
100 miles a day on a brand new car? Depreceiation is bad enough with racking up miles like that, plus gas... Just throw some good snow tires on the Fiesta.

I would probably buy the JL. We have a JK and XJ and the JK is a much nicer place to pass the time. As soon as we can order a new JL, which I hear is around October, we plan too. I've had first years before and it was never a big deal, so I don't even factor that in anymore. My wife and I big have long commutes, so we like to spend that time in vehicles we enjoy.
We bought our JK new in 2012, we have over 116k miles on it, and it's been incredibly reliable.
In reply to Cotton:
Revel isnt until LA motor show at the end of November.

So that is a mid January at earliest for delivery.
Why would you rather have a new Jeep exposed to salt rather than the less valuable Miata?

This. Ish. I'm currently averaging about 700 miles/week for work and both depreciation and wear & tear are why I bought the Mini rather than either buying something new or use the ND MX-5.
Another XJ/JK household here and I'll agree with what Cotton said, the JK is a quantum leap in refinement. That said, I was choosing between a payment on something like a 3rd Gen 4runner, Tacoma, or TJ or no payment and an XJ when I bought mine and I don't regret that decision for a second. If you change your mind in a year or two, you shouldn't lose your ass on it and you can sock away money for that JL in the meantime.

It's just how it is. Peter Egan explained it... sort of how they aren't making Miata's like that anymore or something.
XJ or ZJ is the real question now and I made the mistake of tallying up the mods i am planning to do. Rip Wallet.
Basics will be D44 front and rear. 33's, 3 inch lift, Bumpers, Winch. It will be built to run 35's but will run 33's for just cost saving and less stress on parts.

This.
I don't know what kind of fiesta you have but if it's not an ST and it's just a commuter for you, get snow tires (if you even need them in your area) and drive it.
If it's a fiesta st you care about , get a cheaper used appliance that's reliable but you don't have emotional attachment to commute in. We have a Prius for that job and it does it perfectly.
I die a little every winter when I feel like I'm abusing my truck I care about for 6 months a year. The Prius? No feelings.
