My first one - the earth moved! Was it good for you too?
FYI - I'm in Virginia but was on the phone with someone in PA who felt it too!

Prelim 5.8 Earthquake epicenter about 34 miles NW of Richmond, VA. 87 miles SW of DC. Begin felt as far north as #NYC and New Jersey.
My monitor wobbled here in SW Pa
Meh - didnt feel it, but the mindless officetards here in cinci wont shut up about it...who the hell cares?

epicenter apparently only a half hour from my house! hopefully nothing damaged while im here at work.
Nothing felt out here in the West.
Which I appreciate, given that Lake Tahoe appears to sit on a couple of large faults according to a very recent survey. And the office is only a couple of minutes walk from the lake shore...
Felt it in Harrisonburg VA. I haven't felt an Earthquake in so long I just sat there for a second and then thought "Oh yeah maybe I should move the baby away from the windows".
Since this was the second thread about the quake, I'll post the "did you feel it" link second, too.

BTW, USGS corrected it to 5.9 already.
I put my foot on the ground to get out of the car and felt it, also saw the car shaking a bit.
didn't even think it could be an earthquake, just thought "what the berkeley was that?"
mid western nc
The first was just a shaking. 2 seconds or so, nothing more.
It was the second that was fun. About a minute later. Side surfing, watching things sway around. ~10 seconds. The taller the building, the better the ride.
One of my bike reps lives just 30 miles from the epicenter, he said his house shook like the dickens but he and family are OK
