Yeah, damn shame about Martyn. Danny M was just off recovery from a spine injury when Martyn recruited him to finish RBP 2. Trials is dangerous stuff, and it's probably a real good thing I never saw anything like that when I was about 8 years old.
While I'll agree with your assessment on differences for CX bikes, a larger percentage of them tend to be steel frames too, which I would argue is tougher than the carbon frames. Well, most carbon frames. That is, if....oh hell, nevermind. If you're a bad enough ass you can hoon anything. Lance would whip your ass on a Huffy even if he wasn't doping and his wife WAS driving.
