Started running this fall. I have drop foot and wear an orthotic ankle support. Have to remove the inner sole to fit it. Any of you have suggestions?

Sounds like you need a E36 M3 pileof cushion. Check out hoka one one.  They're "maximal" shoes but are about the plushest thing out there. I loved mine.

+1 on the Hoka One One.  Hands down the most comfortable shoe I've ever run in.

+1 on the Merrell Trail Gloves for a daily shoe and Vapor Glove 3s for running. My favorites for running were the Road Glove, but they've been discontinued. I wore out the uppers on those long before the Vibram soles wore out.

I think I might try a pair of these.  At $30 hard to go wrong.

Those Tesla's are pretty cool. With they made more of a boot type with more tread.

I'm looking at the Xeroshoe Daylight Hiker, Terraflex or Lems Boulder Boot. I love lightweight shoes, but I also like some ankle protection.
