I confess whenever I use a spring compressor I close my mouth in case the spring jumps up and takes out my front teeth. Like that's going to help.

I'm on my way to the sandbox and had a stop over in Germany. I'm geeking out at all the wonderful Opels, Citroens and Vauxhals. I even saw a Mk III(?) Esc0rt convertible. My coworker is looking at me like there is something wrong with me haha.
Edit: Ooooh a Seat

My favourite when I was in Germany was the Opel Adam, possibly the Scirocco. I'd see one and get all excited, then see a Skoda and get mad.
In reply to Peabody :
I've seen about 37 different MPVs from Vauxhall, Citroen and Skoda. They are everywhere here. Such a ton of room in a smallish footprint. And with a manual with a turbodiesel.
I'm geeking out at the plain everyday stuff.
Edit: I guess the black car above is a Skoda? I'm not familiar with European marques as I'm just an uncultured American.
We used to get Skodas here, and I loved them. In the early 90's VW bought the company, shut down production, stopped shipping parts to Canada, and in a very short time they were gone. I'm still mad at VW for that.

Another dumb teenager story from me, I ran down an innocent mailbox in my then girlfriend, now wife's neighborhood while trying to drift my Volvo in snow . Never told anyone, still feel bad 6 years on.
I've been cleaning out my basement in preparation for some minor renovation work.
I've been throwing out a bunch of stuff that I could easily sell here, because I just don't feel like dealing with it.
I'm waiting for a call back from multiple jobs right now and between the anxiousness of the anticipated calls and the E36 M3ty business trip I was "volun-told" to go on last week went I have less than zero motivation to do any actual work this week.
Just wanted to give a shout out to my anonymous grudge holder who still randomly downvotes even my most innocuous posts, like pictures.
Appreciate ya, bud.
In reply to Duke :
Maybe it's the avatar. Some people get twisted up about that kind of thing. Or maybe someone just wants to feel like they matter.
My confession: work is getting all rah-rah cheerleader about leadership and growth and career development. After the last five years of grinding through the last five years, it's too much. I just want to turn a crank until quitting time and then go home.

If I recall correctly, it predates the avatar, but you could be right.

Confession: I downvote memes with atrocious grammar. Sorry.
I will get some that I'd want to post except for bad grammar, so I hold back. Can't be a hypocrite.
April, 2025 GRM issue arrived this week - dang, now I want a 1979 Ford Mustang Indy 500 Pace Car edition.......
Minor confessions:
I could absolutely live without Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, and the expression "(x number of) Steves" as a unit of currency.

I'm going to leave the Beatles out of this because of Here Comes the Sun and a few others, but I'll welcome Kansas and Bad Company to the list.
Especially Kansas.
