When you grow up poor, cheeze becomes the flavor of choice , because theres no choice. It's a hard taste to unlearn even though I can afford real, flavorful cheese.
I've gotten over it.
I do still indulge in some canned spaghetti on toast or a fried Prem (not Spam, that's expensive) sandwich.

With a glass of grape drink.
Our holiday travel takes us from Los Angeles to Santa Rosa and at the mid point is a restaurant/gift shop/gas station complex that offers free cheese & bread samples.
For years, I've developed my daughters skill at holding a jar of the cheese that's for sale in their hands to give the impression that they were likely to purchase something while filling up on the free samples (I don't know, it's just funny to me).
Anyway, just before leaving for the holidays, one of my daughters shared with her class that her dad was "so excited to be getting free cheese".

Customer is always right[1], so when the customer wants two fenders, there better be two fenders in the package, innit. No matter what the listing says.
Vibez trump comprehension of any kind.
[1] ... but not everybody has to be your customer.
The critical part of that phrase is always left out. The customer is always right in matters of taste.

My dad lost the 15-20 lbs he needed to lose thanks to two pretty much back-to-back GI bugs. That was last year and he's kept the weight off, and is now terrified of GI bugs, haha.
I hate how literally our company takes "the customer is always right". The amount of time wasted and service lost because we have to investigate baseless complaints while truly inconveniencing so many more customers that are trying to get places is beyond frustrating. We have a customer that has taken four buses out of service for alleged claims of ADA and FTA violations. These violations involve not opening the door at the spot she chose to stand (2x), moving the bus while she was standing (she chose to change seats while they were driving), and not stopping at her stop (she didn't ring the bell and said the driver's should know their regular disabled customers enough to check and see if they were having an issue). Each time she makes a fuss, and creates a situation where the bus can't continue until supervision comes out and takes a report. Everyone else has to wait for another bus, and the bus involved loses an hour + until she is satisfied enough to leave. She's got hours of me explaining policy to her recorded on her phone she's supposedly.been sending to the feds to have us shut down. She's becoming well known enough that if she's in a bus stop people already on a bus will tell the operators not to stop for her.
In reply to Wally (Forum Supporter) :
Thanks for making the rest of us with handicaps look like shiny happy people, you worthless sack of crap.
In reply to Appleseed :
Your post could be interpreted in two ways...do you feel that Wally or the lady on the bus is a sack?
In reply to Appleseed :
Wally, in no way, implied ALL people with disabilities are a-holes.
I think if you carefully re-read what he wrote, you will see that.
That would be as ridiculous as to assume that disabled people cannot be a-holes.
In reply to aircooled :
Exactly, 42.5 million U.S. citizens have disabilities..that means that 425K of them are at the 100th percentile of being dicks.
Heck, Wally has 40K+ of them running around in his state alone.
I'm sure that Wally meant that one specific person is terrible, and I think Appleseed was directing that comment at the awful customer in Wally's story, not Wally himself
In reply to Appleseed :
If I had feelings they'd be hurt.
Another week, another canceled order from Lowes because they can't find inventory in their own damn store. Why even bother showing it's in stock if it's nowhere to be found? Thank you for suggesting I pick it up at the next closest store, which is 96 miles away. GFY
