I watch Youtube on my firestick. I do not sign in, because reasons, rational or not. Last night, everything was in Portugese, and I could not de-select it.
"Yes, sir, if you allow us to data mine you more efficiently, and pay us to delete the commercials, your video will be in English again." Or maybe not, I don't know. All I know for sure is that Grady from Practical Engineering and Eric O. from South Main Auto are not nearly as entertaining in Portugese.
For once, a fairly minor rant.
For pretty much the entire time that we've been together, The Dancer has made me a custom birthday cake for my birthday and for almost that long (I think it started after we got married) I have made her one as well. Neither of us are remotely professional bakers, cake artists, or anything of the like (she's closer, being more traditionally artistic than I am) but we've made some pretty fun and funny cakes over the years (she still holds the record IMO for the best one- a cake inspired by the Netflix show 'Nailed It!' which was an absolute masterpiece). Her birthday is coming up very shortly- and unfortunately due to a very limited availability of dates at the theater her nonprofit's winter show is taking place over when her birthday is. And as a result, we've both really busy and when I asked her about what kind of cake she wanted (flavors are the only input the recipient gets) she said that we were going to be too busy and stressed and she didn't want me to worry about it.
But I really don't want to break this tradition, and I have a pretty good idea for what to do for the cake this year- but have NO idea when the heck I'll be able to make it since while we do have time when we're not working on things because it's a show week she doesn't have her usual classes and outreach sessions to run- and thus is at home pretty any time we're not at the theater for things with the show. I'm hoping that I'll be able to get her Mom to get her out of the house for a couple of hours between the morning and evening shows in a couple of days, but am not fully confident that I'll be able to make that happen.

Got a 30 day temp tag.
Was doing storm prep tonight, mostly filling a few buckets with water in case we lose power with the ice storm looming tomorrow.
I noticed that the well pump seemed to by cycling a lot for a five gallon bucket, so I checked the well tank and drained it. Two year old tank (nominally 50 gallons) goes from full pressure to no water coming out the drain valve in about a gallon. That'll be the reason for the pump cycling then.
Of course the tank has a one year warranty. berkeley.
Time to call the plumber tomorrow, see what they have to say. Not expecting a lot of goodwill from them, but it won't hurt to ask given how much money I spent with them over the last few years. Either way, I probably want this looked at and fixed ASAP before it burns out the well pump.
It's days like these when I'm wondering which deity I pissed off this time around.
Not seeing your well set up... but if you have a little Schrader valve on the inlet side , if its clogged you won't be getting the air in the tank you need with each cycle.

There is some sort of valve thing on the inlet side that is supposed to draw air in for the iron separator, is that the one you are referring to or am I looking for something else?
